This wrought iron bird figure is by Robert Compson who studied welding under Calder, & exhibited his sculptures at the vetted crafts fair sponsored by the then American Craft Museum of NYC, it is approx 5 ft tall, Cumpson lived in Colfax Ill & was the original green man, making his scupltures from old farm machinery
