Victorian Aesthetic Herter Style Slipper Ch.
A Victorian Mahogany Slipper Chair in the desirable Aesthetic Style, & very similar to the work of Herter Bros. This is one of 3 examples known of this Sunflower Slipper Chair. The pierced work back is all carved with sunflowers, as is the front apron. the fabric on the seat has been associated with the chair for a long time but is not the original. The seat should be reupholstered. The wood has been french polished & is with no repairs, the original rubber casters remain
